Fluorine [18F] sodium injection

2025-08-16

Sodium fluorine [18F] injection is a positron emission tomography (PET) radioimaging agent used in bone imaging to locate altered areas of osteogenic activity. Its fluorine [18F] ions can be exchanged with the hydroxyl groups in the hydroxyapatite crystals of bones to form fluoroapatite, which is chemically adsorbed on the surface of bone tissue. Completed clinical trials have proved that the injection has excellent diagnostic efficacy and good safety, and can detect bone metastases earlier and more sensitively, providing more treatment strategies for clinical patients.
